About The Speakers
Noa Beazley is a composer and Assistant Professor of Video Game Scoring at Berklee College of Music. Her work includes games such as Protodroid DeLTA and A Token War and the upcoming games Re:Awaken and Phosfi. She’s spoken at venues such as SXSW, GDC and PAX, and is a board member of Boston Game Dev and organizer for Game Audio Boston.
Shane Denhardt & Kiril Pashev are a pair of classically trained artists who founded Evil Villain Games in 2019 with the release of their first game Raven's Path. Evil Villain Games has pitched 3 games; meeting with many publishers including Team17 and Square Enix Collective in the process. The studio also does a wide variety of contract work in games. They attended their first GDC in 2023 to pitch Rolling Rogues to publishers.
Monty Sharma is a distinguished technology and gaming industry executive with over two decades of leadership experience. As the former Managing Director of MassDiGI (Massachusetts Digital Games Institute), he played a pivotal role in bridging academia and the gaming industry. A co-founder and general manager of Vivox, he developed key partnerships with industry giants including EA, Sony, Ubisoft, and Nexon. His passion for developing new leaders shows in his work coaching first-time founders, helping them master the complex challenge of bringing together technology, business strategy, and team leadership. His commitment to nurturing future talent includes mentoring startups at MIT and teaching a graduate course at Brown University. Currently, Sharma is CEO of an unannounced game project, bringing his extensive experience in gaming, technology, and business leadership to this new venture.
The first hour of our meeting (7-8pm) will be open meet and greet and chatting time. The second hour (8-9pm) will be the panel.
We have a guest limit for the space, so please pre-register and bring a valid government ID to enter the building. You will not be able to enter without an ID! If you cannot attend, please remove yourself from the event to make space for others.
There is a parking garage onsite and the venue is not far from the Kendall/MIT stop on the red line.
You don’t have to RSVP to show up, but it helps us get an idea of a headcount.
