Our own Dan Scherlis thought you might want to know about a games-related event he has organized for the MIT Enterprise Forum, for next Monday (Oct 23, 6:30-9pm). Here’s his message:
We’ll cover mobile games, casual (web-based) games, and massively-multiplayer online games (”MMOGs”). Our keynote speaker is Curt Schilling, Red Sox pitcher and CEO of MMOG-startup Green Monster Games.
All the details are online at http://www.mitforumcambridge.org/DigMediaSIG.html
After Curt Schilling’s keynote, the other speakers (drawn heavily from post-mortem members) will give short overviews of mobile, casual, and MMOG, showing current products, and discussing today’s trends. We’ll then have a panel discussion and Q&A, with audience participation.
Curt’s not merely a famous superstar athlete, he’s also an expert-level MMOG gamer, and a principal at Multi-Man Publishing, “Official manufacturer of Advanced Squad Leader and other fine wargames.” He knows games.
The Enterprise Forum’s announcement is below. I hope to see you there!
